Marshall Occupational Therapy provides home-based therapy for adults and adolescents with neurological and psychiatric conditions in the Southern Suburbs, Atlantic Seaboard and everywhere in between. I have a special interest in dementia and conducting clinical driving assessments.

Driving assessments are designed to comprehensively assess all the skills required for driving such as:

• Cognition
• Insight
• Mobility
• Reaction speed
• Vision
• Visual perception,

As well as to understand the diagnosis and related functional impairments and side-effects of medication, and how that impacts a person’s fitness to drive. This assessment consists of an office-based battery of evaluations and is usually done in conjunction with an on-road driving assessment performed by a certified driving school on a separate day. The assessment takes roughly 2 hours and can be done in the comfort of your home. The results of both the office-based and on-road assessment are then used to make a final recommendation regarding fitness to drive as well as any disclaimers/exceptions.

Neuro Rehab at Home is a Cape Town based practice for occupational therapy. We provide neurological rehabilitation to adults who have suffered from strokes, traumatic brain injuries or are experiencing other neurological conditions. Furthermore, our expertise lies within the rehabilitation of patients with multi-morbidities as well as palliative care, in and out of hospital.
